We are now looking for summer interns in both Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance. We offer summer jobs from May to August. There is the possibility to adjust start and end dates according to your studies, and we ask that you specify in your application which weeks you wish to work. The positions are during the day.

Job Description

As a summer intern in maintenance, you are an important part of a team that works together on service, preventive maintenance, maintenance, and repair work of our production equipment at Gävle Mill. The tasks you will be assigned depend on which department you are allocated to, but some examples of common tasks in preventive maintenance include:

• Care of machines through lubrication, inspection, measurement, and replacements.
• Detecting faults in the facility such as inadequate function, capacity, condition, and ensuring that the fault is addressed by writing a service request.
• Collaborating with FU inspectors/lubricators, mechanics, and operating personnel.

Some examples of common tasks in maintenance are:

• Maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and bearing assemblies.
• Light machining.
• Welding.
• Collaboration with other mechanics and operating personnel.

If you have a forklift and/or overhead crane license, there may be opportunities to perform tasks in that area.

Qualifications

• Completed/current high school education or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

It is advantageous if you:

• Have studied vehicle technology, welding, or similar in high school.
• Have previously summer interned and/or practiced with us, with good results.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in tinkering and enjoys figuring out how things fit together. We value teamwork, which means you should be easy to collaborate with, respectful, and open to dialogue. As a person, you enjoy working practically and are reliable and curious.
